Kerlos Atia Abdalmalak is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of signal theory and communication at Carlos III University of Madrid. He received his B.Sc. with honors (ranked 2nd among the colleagues) in communication engineering from Aswan University, Egypt in 2011 then he joined the department of electrical engineering, Aswan University as a teaching assistant. He received his M.Sc. in multimedia and communication from Carlos III University of Madrid in 2015 with an excellent grade. He has authored/co-authored 5 JCR journals (3 in the first-quartile Q1 and 2 in the second-quartile Q2 following Thomson Reuters Journal Citation Ranking) and 17 conference papers. He received the URSI 2017 Young Scientists Award (2nd prize). He served as a TPC member and a peer reviewer at several international conferences such as ITCE, EuCAP, ICEECC, and AsiaSim. His technical interests include antennas for radio astronomy, THz technologies, millimeter-submillimeter waves, dielectric resonator antennas.
